Being one of the flagship products of Klei Entertainment, Oxygen Not Included has received numerous ratings. Oxygen Not Included revolves around the premise of you defending your space colony against the attacking aliens from another galaxy. Who has taken over your capital city as their latest conquest? You’ll have to take care to defend your colony while collecting resources, developing new technologies, testing out your defences, and dealing with an enemy attack that might come your way. You can even build an oxygen generator that can save your life if your air supply runs out. Its giving you an option to retreat and regroup with your newfound allies. The story starts when a gigantic alien race launches its first probe into your solar system. As you listen to the audio logs left by your previous colonies, you slowly realize that there are massive amounts of hostile organisms living inside the underground asteroid belt. After sending out a few scout ships to investigate the inner asteroid belt, you discover that your colony has been wiped out. Now, you and your allies must work together to defend your space-colony simulation game oxygen from the invaders. You can either use the ships you’ve constructed or build an underground bunker complete with a weapons depot to fight off the aliens.
To make things more exciting, players can also engage in space combat and land attacks against their enemies. If you’re playing as a group of Colonial colonists, each one of them can arm the colony’s defences to fight back against the aliens. Your goals will be different depending on the scenario you choose, but the overall goal should be saving your oxygen supply. Once the game is over, you can either continue to enjoy the exciting online action or start a new colony with more colonists to bring home the ultimate victory.
